Life in West Grove, the mushroom capital of the world!

West Grove is the "city" that I live in here in PA. We have one traffic light and 2 4-way stop signs. Downtown there is a post office, a couple banks, pizza shop, yoga place, and a new chinese restaurant. I think it's great. There is a huge mexican population. It constantly smells like compost from the mushroom farms, but you get used to that pretty quickly. My days here are spent going to work, helping Peyton with homework, taking them to scouts baseball or wrestling if needed, making dinner, reading, and talking to some friends before I go to bed. We have 2 pretty big dogs that constantly want attention. My room is basically a basement where my stuff is scattered everywhere because I don't have all of my furniture here yet. There are a lot of weird spiders and beetles down here. Actually some kind of wasp or something just flew in here a few minutes ago and landed on me. Sort of random.

This past Sunday we went to see my aunt. Her name is Rebecca. She is in rehab for alcohol abuse about an hour and a half from here. My aunt is a really cool person- it was so nice to see her. We get to talk to her a lot on the phone. She gets more freedom the longer she is there. As of right now she'll be coming home in mid-November. Please say a prayer for her. She is processing a lot right now. I can't wait to talk to her when she gets home.

I'm getting to know some people at work that I really like. There's a guy named Jesus- he's hilarious. It's weird not knowing people around here. I have had a few lonely moments, but nothing major. When that happens I take a step back, and I remember that I'm here for a reason. God is bigger than loneliness.

I do really miss my friends from home. I'm such a social person and now I spend free time hanging out with a 9 year old (although he's probably the coolest 9 yr old ever!) I have been spending a lot more time with God here though. He is good!

I'll be going to check out a church this Sunday. I'm really excited.

Oh and Patti is coming to visit me this weekend. I can't wait =) I need some deep conversation.

If anyone needs to talk I love phone calls! I always have time.

Tonight is the first lost episode of the season. I am going to go watch it with the fam.

"I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew then for the Gentile. For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as  it is written: 'The righteous will live by faith.'" -Romans 1: 16-17

Ok so I know I haven't posted in a long time, but I decided that I might start up again.

I made it to my aunt and uncles. Thank you to Tyler, Ross, and Emily C for helping me out. The support I that has been given to me has been overwhelming and I am so thankful for all of my amazing friends. =)

Friday was moving day. Saturday Tyler, Ross, Emily and I spent the day in Philly. We walked... a lot. Hopefully I'll get pictures from Em soon. =)

Today I spent some quality time with my cousins. Michael is 15 and Peyton is 9. First Michael helped me find where I'll be working. Orientation is about an hour away so we had the chance to talk and such. He's a great kid. When we got home Peyton came downstairs to my "room" in the basement and we talked for a long time. This picture is behind the house at the pool.

They are so funny. Here's a sweet video of Peyton.

I must go for now. My first day of work is tomorrow and I need some sleep!
